HEADACHES AND CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Headaches are not unusual! Many
West Palm Beach headache sufferers attain headache relief with
West Palm Beach chiropractic care. One out of every 5 new
chiropractic patients come to a chiropractor’s office like
Chiropractic Care because of headache. Headache
patients make up a significant part
of the chiropractic practice, and that’s true for Chiropractic Care.
Chiropractors often diagnose and co-manage
headache patients
with other healthcare providers. (1) Spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) for
cervicogenic headache is reported to be quite effective.
For the most benefit, a new study found that 18 SMT
visits in contrast to 1, 6, and 12 visits, is most
effective, lowering cervicogenic headache days by half.
Compared with slight massage, SMT also produced 3 more cervicogenic headache-free days a month. (2)

TIP OF THE MONTH: Vitamin D for Reduced Migraines
It has been proposed
that the inflammation and a reduced immune system may have
a role in migraine headache. The role of nutrients – vitamin D, vitamin B12,
alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, magnesium, niacin, riboflavin, and riboflavin - in
the supportive care of migraines is seemingly therapeutic.
(3) A recent study reports that higher
levels of serum Vitamin D (50 to less than 100 ng/mL) lessens
the odds of having a migraine headache by 80% to 83% versus levels below 20 ng/mL. (4) West Palm Beach migraine
sufferers may try to enhance their
Vitamin D status in addition to their West Palm Beach
chiropractic care plan.
